Recommendations for comfortable indoor shoes/slippers in small sizes?

I've got OA in various joints, including my feet which can be particularly painful at times. I'm looking for indoor shoes/slippers, but the ones I have tried all have very flat soles and really hurt my feet and legs. To add to the problem I have very small feet and only take a size 2.5 or 3 at a push (depending on the style).

Does anyone have any recommendations for indoor shoes which would be more comfortable and not too expensive, please?

Consider air cushion soles as a quick fix (ones where you can see the air gap in the heel). I haven't found any style of these I don't like, but I prefer the velcro strap ones as I can ease them off if they feel tight, and I prefer ones with mesh that let my feet breathe.

I told my nurse about them and they instantly asked if I had seen a chiropodist, but no I haven't.

I noticed my physio wears them.

There appears to be some concern, mainly for running athletes, that soft shoes are not good for the bones, but my running days are over so I am not worried.

However, I have one foot with some kind of problems as it sticks out, and has some kind of painful lump in it after I have been walking, and is hard to use for pedalling a bicycle. I was told so far the foot sticks out because the hip is rotated and not the foot. I wouldn't know but both problems sounds tricky to fix.

The point is, feet are harder to look after for arthritis, they have to carry all our weight. One day I will probably check whats going on with the doctor.
