I have been diagnosed with Axial spondyloarthritis and at the moment I'm waiting for an appointment with my biologic team as the biologic injections I'm on has now stopped working. I'm in a lot of pain and was wondering if anyone had tried these pure extracts with Tumeric oil. The ad says its great for arthritic pain so I'm wander whether to get any.

    Good morning @TinaA

Quite a lot of discussion have taken place here about turmeric so I did you a search of posts on the subject:

I hope they are of some use to you and that it really isn't too long before you start a medication which helps.

    Best wishes

    Ellen.

    Hi @TinaA

I was in a bad way at the start of this year with a variety of issues including back pain and I had a comment about axial spondyloarthritis .

The Rheumatologist gave me a steroid injection while they went through the process to prescribe the biologics (Yulflyma). It did really help for a week or two - so maybe something to ask your medical professional.

if you are waiting for an appointment- perhaps see if there are specialist nurses you can talk to about pain relief. There is a Rheumatology Advice Line at my local hospital and the team there are always very helpful. When I was really in a difficult place the nursing team on the advice line wrote to my gp with a request to prescribe oral steroids while I waited for my rheumatologist appointment - this also helped hugely, a life saver in fact.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for your comments Arciere. Yes I know steriods work miracles!! Only problem is I have a course of them in June so too soon to take any more. Had my review last week and they are changing my biologic to adalimumab injection. So only a few weeks before I get that. I have found a great cream called fisiocrem and that helps with the pain.
