Hi @Nicj
This is a really tough one, but if it helps inspire you at all we have had members here who have lost quite substantial amounts of weight through diet alone. One or two being reliant on wheelchairs for their mobility full time.
Have you been offered any support from your GP at all?
I will just post this information which might have something to help:
This exercise programme might also help a bit it's aimed at all levels of ability:
Some of our members have posted a weight loss diary on here and have been supported by other members. If you felt it might help you could always do that yourself. Your success could also help inspire others to join you.
My very best wishes
Ellen.

hi, I’ve requested my GP to refer me to Oviva weight management it’s NHS funded and free to help me get my BMI down from 47 for surgery, my GP appointment is tomorrow 🤓

I feel for you as it is not easy to exercise when you can't move well, I am trying desperately to keep my weight down as well. there might be some sitting exercises you could do may be try looking on you tube to see if there are any for sitting.
At the moment I am trying the Starch solution Diet, and it helps me being vegetarian.
