Hi, recently been diagnosed after having everything put down to fibromyalgia for over 2 years. Due to start methotrexate but recently been made redundant and need to claim ESA. Worried about completing the form correctly with correct information as I have got use to the adaptions I've made over the years with daily living. Chronic fatigue, pain, migraines ongoing daily. Any advice would be great. Thanks

Hello @JoanneLamb and welcome to the Community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that will be your experience as well.

Our website is a mine of information so do look at it. You might be particularly interested in:

You will also find some help from Citizens Advice Bureau. My personal suggestion is that you sit down with a close friend or family member and try and talk through how your condition has changed your life over the last few years and what your coping strategies have been. Also, our community members will have vast experience so keep checking back here for their responses.

Please keep posting now you are here and let us know how you are getting on.

I also note that your username appears to be your full name. We do not encourage use of your name. It is wise to stay anonymous on the internet. So, please change your username to something that doesn't divulge your identity.

    Best wishes

    Hi Joanne

Top right of screen click on your icon, then click on Account and Privacy Settings. Then you'll see a list of all your settings - one of these is Account name. There will be a little pencil icon next to that. Click on the pencil and that will allow you to change your account name.

Good morning @JoanneLamb you are quite right you can't change your username yourself it's an admin job. If you send me a personal message giving your proposed new name I will get it changed for you.

    Apologies for the confusion

    Ellen.
