Hi all, I want to share my good news. I finally received my pre op letter for my hip replacement surgery this morning, so happy I have a date I can look forward to.

Been on the dreaded waiting list since 5th December 2023 and my pre op is 9th December 2024.

I know it's just the pre op but it means I'm one step closer to the actual op.

Hope everyone is well.

One day at a time.

@Billy85 that's great news. One step closer.

I'm 2 days post op, had a bit of a rough time but I'm home and on the recovery road.

Time will fly to December and my op was 6 weeks after my pre op so fingers crossed for you.

You are much closer to your surgery. When I went to my preop, the nurse said the surgery has to be done within 4 months or they'd have to repeat it and it costs money for the NHS. Fingers crossed.

Hi @Nurina fingers crossed it's not too long away now.

Hope you are well too. I've had a time of it recently, unfortunately. Been off work since March, was doing ok with pain/meds.

All of a sudden about 4 weeks ago pain increased and my liver levels were raised on my last 2 blood tests, so doctors told me to stop Methotrexate and Etoricoxib until bloods were repeated and checked as my liver is showing signs of being under stress.

Got some results back saying they are normal, just waiting on one more coming back which is at Rheumatology. In the meantime I can't take anything for pain, not even paracetamol which also isn't good for liver.

Hopefully hear from doctors/Rheumatology soon to get back on some sort of medication as my pain levels have went back to March when I had to stop working.
