Recently diagnosed
Hi, I'm 57 and I've recently been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. I had a fall last year and injured my hand. I had a cortisone injection which did nothing then an ultrasound which showed inflammation in 4 joints on my right hand so I was referred to rheumatology. I've been prescribed methotrexate which is ok (I've only had 2 doses so far). I work as a bus driver and my right hand is very painful using the handbrake etc. I'm just wondering if I'm making anything worse by this continual gripping or if it's not going to make a long-term difference. I'm just taking it in at the moment so it's all a bit of a shock and I'm wondering what to expect. Other aches and pains I've been putting down to my job as I'm sitting for a long time. And the tiredness is awful which I've been going to the doctor's about for a long time so maybe the methotrexate will help?
Thanks
