Painful OA feet - any helpful suggestions?

I've got OA in a number of joints - knees, shoulders, spine, hands, feet. My feet are particularly painful at the moment and it hurts to walk very far. I've got a bony lump on the top of my right foot which I've had for years, but the bottom of my feet are very painful as I walk, as though all the little bones in my feet are crunching! I'm having to use a walking stick all the time, which is new for me. I've read through the exercises for feet on here and am going to give them a go, but wondered if others have had the same problem and found anything that helped. I'm also aware that the pain in my feet, which makes me hobble, causes pain to radiate through to my knees and hips and even the small of my back. Would it be worth seeing the physiotherapist at my surgery?

Most definitely @Megrose489 I think seeing the physio at your surgery is an excellent idea. They may be able to refer you on to podiatry for example if necessary.

Have you tried heat or cold for your feet too? Some people (me included!) can find comfort in rolling a frozen bottle of water under their sore feet.

    My best wishes

    Ellen.

Thank you Ellen. I'll definitely try heat and cold and am going to make an appointment with the physio.

    Hello @Megrose489

I agree with @Ellen ! I haven't tried a frozen bottle which is a fab idea. I have a old washing up bowl which I fill with cold water and let my feet rest in, though it's a bit awkward.
