Full knee replacement
Hi , just joined this evening, been living with OA for over 25 years and have had 8 arthroscopies over the years. Full knee replacement planned for next year. I just wanted to say that despite daily pain and swelling in my knee I can still surf and work! I manage pain with tight knee brace whilst surfing or working ( maintenance man ) and occasionally take 30 mg zappain which take the edge off. I use ice packs often which helps reduce swelling. Heat is definitely our friend, had a week in Spain earlier on in the year and hardly had any pain in 25 a 30 deg temps!!
I can’t take any anti-inflammatory medication as I have kidney disease and was wondering what natural remedies may of helped people here. All the best Andy.
