Adalimumab tingling and swelling in feet
Hi all I started on Adalimumab in June I am also taking methotrexate and Sulphasalazine it’s doing wonders for my arthritis my joints look fab, but it’s causing problems with my feet and ankles which have become swollen I have tingling and loss of sensation I spoke to nurse who said this wasn’t a usually side effect although side effects leaflet mention this, consultant is sending me for a ultrasound and my Gp has requested a Doppler this only started when I starting injections has any of the group had the same problem.
Any advice gratefully received Thank you ☺️

Hello jem26, I took my first dose of adalimumab-adaz Sunday evening (just about a week ago) on Wednesday my feet and ankle started to swell. I also jumped 5 pounds in a matter of days. I assume the water retention. I also have some spontaneous fluttering in my chest. I was happy to find your post because I was unsure of the cause of my symptoms. I’ve had to dig deep to find these possible symptoms. Contacting my rheumatologist ASAP.

I am sorry you are also having problems with taking Adalimumab I have just had my appointment with my consultant and he has stopped my injection and is Changing my biologicals to a monthly injection he did say the swelling was not common but is a side effect I stopped and restarted and the swelling continued so definitely make an appointment as there is numerous alternatives to try. Hope you find the right biological that works for you and your health improves 😊take care

Hi @Jem26
The wonderful thing about this community is I have just seen a post from @WendyGoode64 on very similar concerns with the same drug. I hope discussing and reading these posts helps.
