Methotrexate
I have been recently diagnosed with RA.
I have been really anxious about starting the methotrexate due to worrying about the side affects. My first dose last night and feel ok.
My question is…..is that a good sign already or too early to say heard so many people saying it did not agree with them

It seems to agree with me. Ive been taking it for a cpl of months now and not had any side effects. Blood tests are coming back ok so far. The first time I felt tired the day afterwards, and also the 2nd time but not as bad. i am not even sure it was a side effect. Hopefully it is a good sign for you. fingers crosed.

Ive been on 20mg for 23 years and the only side effect ive noticed is a few times feeling a bit nauseas for an hour after taking but as i said just a few times.
but drugs affect everyone differently so its just a case of keep going and hoping for the best.

Hi @hulmesd , and welcome to the online community,
It’s good to see that members have already responded to your post. Lots of our members are on methotrexate, and while it’s true that everyone has a different experience of it, I hope you feel reassured by the responses you’ve already received.
If you want to read a bit more about some of the most common side effects, I’ve posted a link below:
