Hello,
I always have my flu jab due to having asthma… this year I’ve declined due to being on methotrexate and just a bit anxious about so much stuff in my body. What are others thoughts and experiences please? I’ve had a bit of a telling off by the nurse today for not yet having it!

I have mine every year although this year I haven't had the COVID one.

No rush, your choice your body just remember our immune systems are weaker now….

I have to have both flu and covid due to Asthma and Bronciecstasis - there are some horrible things going around at the moment. I have also heard some getting these horrible things after having their boosters. I had mine two days apart and had a Pneumonia diagnosis 10 days later. Not sure if it is related but it isn't the first time I've been ill after the booster. I have an appointent with my Bronciecstasis consultant next week and will ask his thoughts. I am not on methotrexate  as I have OA

It's a very personal decision. I always have whatever jabs are being offered! I figure they wouldn't be offered to me if it wasn't in my best interests…… I have been having the flu jab for 20 years or more, (long before I contracted R.A.) I have had flu (many years ago) and it was truly awful. I was young and fit in those days but it knocked me for 6 and I wanted to die. No exaggeration. I NEVER want it again! So for me the flu jab is a no brainer. I am now on Methotrexate, I'm not very happy about all the poison I'm putting into my body but it's the lesser of evils. This winter I have had had both flu and covid jabs, and this morning I had a pneumonia booster as advised by my consultant. No ill effects from any of the jabs. But that's me, we are all different and there is no right or wrong. Just try to get as much information as you can before coming to a final decision.
