Good Morning All ,

I have been suffering with both of my ankles for many years, due to playing sports ( quite a few years ago) and being a carpenter/joiner . In Dec 22 , I had a total ankle in my right ankle by a great surgeon , Mr Kar Teoh ( RIP ) , and was fine until I returned to work and broke a bone supporting the replacement . Mr Teoh said that he had never come across this before but back in a cast / support boot until Oct 23 , returning to work in Nov 23 . In Aug 24 , I had my left ankle fusion operation , by another great surgeon , Mr Bakur Jamjoon , a replacement was not viable , due the degree of deformity and now recovering in a cast / support boot & generally resting until Feb 25 . I am now weight bearing but taking it very gently , trying to avoid the repeat of another accident. At this moment in time , I cannot compere both operations, I can only say that the replacement is fantastic and great relief , and the fusion , although painful & swollen , will be equally good and bring relief . So I will post any comparisons early next year . Alan.

However, glad to hear you are recovering slowly.
