Indoor Footwear (slippers)

Hi I have arthritis in both feet and have orthopaedic insoles, which I wear all day in my shoes but question is

what do you wear in the house ?

( I am off a certain age and take off, my outdoor shoes at the front door)

I am currently wearing Ecco crocs rather than fabric style slippers - but wonder, if these give my feet the support, they require and if these are harming my feet more

Or should I get back in touch with the podiatry and order another pair of insoles, to go in a pair of trainers, that I can solely use indoors

Look forward to hearing your views/recomendations

Thanks

I have got some skechers slippers (2 pairs for washing!) they are spongy like skechers usually are. They are called Bobs looks like they might not make them any more (they had cats and dogs on them!) but they do have similar. They are good slippers have proper sole and also a back to them so I don't scrunch up my toes.

I avoid crocs, except in the garden, my sister spent a whole summer in hers one year. Then two years recovering them from pain and damage she did.

Some people actually just wear another pair of indoor normal shoes of course if they need that extra level of foot support. Personally mine like a rest at home😊

    Take care

    Hi,

My podiatrist said a firm no to crocs and any shoe without a back piece around the heel. I just take out the insoles and pop them in my slippers. Bare foot is good too for me!

    Hello

I am having the same problem and have done for a long while. I wear slip on trainers sketchers in the house and only put soft slippers on when I am ready for bed. I have not found a supportive pair of slippers with room enough for my insoles. Will keep a look out on this site for all ideas. Good luck and know how you feel. I have RA .
