Shoulder steroid injection
I had a steroid injection about 16 months ago which worked almost immediately. I have since had another due to returning pain in my right shoulder and also down my arm into my hand. This was done four days ago but this time up to the present time is showing no sign of relief. Can anyone tell me if this is normal or could it take a lot longer the second time. Thank you.

Hello @Graemep1 and welcome to the Online Community. We are a friendly and supportive community and I hope that will be your experience as well.
Please have a look through the following to se if it helps

My wife had problems with shoulders and eventually went for hydro dilation which worked extremely well for her so might be something worth talking about with your GP. They may say it can only be done within weeks of the problem - this is not the case.
Anyway hope you get sorted soon.
Best wishes
Peter

Hi @Graemep1
I had one in my shoulder a bit back and it took around 10 days to work. I had about given up I think it's due to how steroids work. They take out the inflammation which takes out the pain or something. If you google it it will explain.
Of course it is possible that this time they 'missed' the spot.
Hope you are feeling way more comfortable now
