Why no extra button on traffic lights?

Pondering: why an extra button has not been created for traffic lights, such as: 'slow walker' = a little more time given to cross the road. An obvious missing button. Statistics say: the largest impairment groups in UK are people with a mobility impairment (48%) - March 2024.
