Vaccinations
Hi I am new here and haven't posted before so apologies if this is the wrong place.
I was wondering if anyone knows if osteoarthritis arthritis qualifies me for my covid vaccine.
I am suffering with a terrible flare up in my knees and hands and couldn't cope if I caught flu/covid.
Any comments appreciated.

Hello @Kajas and welcome to the Community. We are a friendly and supportive group and I hope that will be your experience as well.
The guidance for entitlement to the covid vaccine is here:
Who’s eligible for the 2024 COVID-19 vaccine, or ‘Autumn Booster’? – UK Health Security Agency
My reading of it is that you won't be eligible unless you are over 65 but please check it! Having said that I have asked the vaccine nurse at my GP practice to give me vaccinations that I wasn't eligible for and she was happy to do it so I suggest you check with your GP practice.
Our website is a mine of information so do look at it. Search for knee and hand arthritis and you will find a lot of information.
Also, our community members will have vast experience so keep checking back here for their responses.
Please keep posting now you are here and let us know how you are getting on.
Best wishes
Mary
