Osteoarthritis and vasculitis

I have the most dreadful pain in knees, legs and lower back which is regulated by lots of drugs. However even the oral morphine does not help the pain at night or for the first two or three hours every morning. I'm 87 and live alone with my family all living overseas.

I'm finding it harder and harder to live a normal life although I do take short walks with the aid of a walker and do a lot of crafting and jigsaws to keep me sane.

Any ideas anyone? Thank you

Hi @autumnsunshine and welcome to our online community!

Do you get carers in to help at the moment? It might be something to consider if your pain is particularly bad in the morning and if you are living alone.

You are doing the right thing by trying to take short walks. The longer you sit the more you will stiffen up and it will be more painful for you.

    All the best, Claudia x
