How to boost your immune system

Hi all. Having an autoimmune disease makes me vulnerable to anything that comes around.

I am fed up of getting ill from any cold or bug that I get exposed to as it hits me hard and I end up out of work for a few days to a week.

Does anyone have any tips to boost your immune system or to stay safe?

I already wear face masks in crowded places and always ask friends and family if there is any signs of illness before I visit them.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

    Hi @Daleob

Are you taking medication that suppresses your immune system, such as Methotrexate or biologics?

Yes, I am taking Methotrexate Metoject pens. I know this will suppress my immune system as you said, so I'm after ways of naturally trying to boost my energy and possibly/hopefully give me some protection against viruses. If that is possible.

    Hi @Daleob

Yes I'm on biologics and I catch every cold, flu and bug going! It's so frustrating. Getting enough sleep can definitely help, and I know there are certain foods that help to naturally boost the immune system too, so doing a bit of research into this could help too. Hopefully others can give some advice too but I hope this helps a bit.

    Take care, Claudia
