Does anyone suffer from bad muscle pain along with joint pain..I have really bad muscle pain lately..blaming the cold which doesnt help I know. I see a chiropractor every 3 weeks as I have done for years and this helps ..using magnesium in the bath and magnesium cream..walking most days...ice permitting...but still struggling with sore muscles everywhere!!

  • I had this before I had my hip replacements . I saw a private physiotherapist and he said my muscles had gone into full protection mode so they were rigid and painful. I had 21 weeks of physio but he told me to see my gp in the end and insist on an appointment with a specialist. As it turned out the gp agreed after a quick examination that I needed to see a specialist urgently as my left hip was in a bad state. Both hips were done in February and May last year. No more muscle pain apart from what is natural after surgery.

@rosie159 Yes, I can identify with this. I realise now, 12 months on from my hip replacement, that much of what I thought was arthritic pain was actually muscular pain - from lack of use/proper use over a number of years. The good news now is that I am getting much stronger, I do see a chiropractor too, and his advice is excellent. I'm not 100% yet, but believe I soon will be, best of luck and hope your chiropractor can get you sorted.
