Pain in my hands
I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my hands around two years ago I had my face cortisone injection in the base of my thumb about 12 months ago which worked really well , the pain in my right hand became pretty bad again and I had a further injection on the 11th of December since the injection. I have been in agony with my right thumb which looks really deformed is really painful and has not really eased in the last five weeks , I have taken the strongest Co-Codamol and use diclofenac cream prescribed by my GP which is not really helped , I had to go to a walk-in centre on New Year’s Eve after speaking to the musculoskeletal clinic who suspected I may have an infection in my thumb which was later confirmed and I was given a course of antibiotics , It has also been suggested I may have needle trauma from the injection. Has anybody else had this much pain after the course zone injection and how long did it take to easel?
