    Do steroid injections really work?

    Hi @Fredd1e

    I have created a separate post for your question on steroid injections.

    Speaking from personal experience, yes they do work. However it is important to follow the aftercare, if you don't there is less chance of them working.

    Here is a link with more info;

    Hope this helps! Claudia x

    I had a steroid injection last October. It was really helpful and lasted about 6 weeks. My rheumatologist did mine. So yes I’d recommend one.

    I have never had much luck with them. Had two last year into my wrist, one done by the local MSK team and one by my surgeon.

    Following the one by msk in February I now have repeated "bruising" every six weeks or so and a permanent shadow where it was done. Last time it bled so listen when they tell you about the side effects!
