Experience of taking methotrexate, rinvoq and hydroxychloroquine
Hi, I'm newish here. I have diagnosis of 'atypical inflammatory arthritis' and also ulcerative colitis. Am presently on 25mg methotrexate and 15mg rinvoq but it's not really making much difference to my arthritis. Arthritis is 'mobile' and moves between joints all the time (but not really my back). I'm wanting to find out about anyone's experience of taking meth, rinvoq and hydroxychloroquine and what type of arthritis you have. I've found article on here about palindromic arthritis which sounds a bit like me, but not sure about diagnosing myself. Thanks.

Hi @hwillows
It might be a good idea to speak to your rheumatologist about your medication, perhaps these ones aren't working for you and you might need to try different ones. I have Psoriatic Arthritis and I used to take Methotrexate but it made me very sick so I changed to biologics instead, which are far better for me. Everyone is different though, sometimes there's a bit of trial and error until you find what works for you.
All the best, Claudia x

Sadly had anaphalactic reaction to infliximab after 11 months of infusions. Been on meth 16 months and rinvoq 8 weeks. Seeing my rheumi in two weeks, so far he advises to give whatever med I'm on a bit longer to work (apart from the infliximab!) but wondering if others experience might help me discuss next steps. Two years since arthritis started and impatient for relief.
