Methotrexate and delayed nausea
Hi, I was diagnosed with seropositive rheumatoid arthritis 10 weeks ago and have been taking methotrexate tabs for 9 weeks. 10mg for 2 weeks then 15mg and folic acid 1x 5mg weekly.
it has worked for me really well, my hands and feet are so much better now, so I want to stick with it.
I was fine at first but have been feeling nauseous and have been sick a few times after I’d been taking methotrexate for 6/7 weeks. Can nausea/sickness start once you’ve been taking methotrexate for a while and be ok at first? I would have thought I’d feel more sick at the beginning when I first start taking rather than after 6/7 weeks ?
Im not sure if it’s a virus, the tabs or a gastro thing? Would appreciate your advice/experience thanks.
