Hi, I have just joined. I am

47 with spinal damage from arthritis. I always thought I could conquer my illness, it has stunned me that I can’t and I have hit rock bottom. I reached out to V arthritis and they told me about this community. I’m sorry you are all in pain 🥹 I’m here to feel less alone x

Hi Caroline, I am sorry that you have hit rock bottom and it may help to know many of us have done that too. I too came to this community as I had reached a stage where I felt lost and couldnt tell me family how I truly felt. My name is Karen I suffer from ra and for me I thought I could handle it and then realised I needed to put some things in place to support me mentally and physically.

It’s great to see that you’ve posted such a friendly response to @Hi_caroline who has also just joined today ( and of course welcome to you too @Hi_caroline , I believe you posted earlier on today too ).

The online community is a place where you can share how you’re feeling, learn from other members’ experiences, and offer your support to others. Although family and friends mean well, sometimes there’s nothing better than chatting with people who understand exactly what you’re going through.

Do have a look round the forum and join in any conversation where you feel comfortable- everyone is friendly and I know you’ll be welcome.
