Alternative therapies
Hi all
I am not sure if this is the right forum for it, but please remove if not.
I've been in a flare for a few years now, and my medical team believe it has brought on fibro. For the past 2 years i have been having sports massages every 2 - 3 weeks, to try and relieve some symptoms. The person i go to is really great, and also does acupuncture at the same time. This usually gives me a few days relief and lets me get a decent sleep in.
The last time i went, i had no relief at all, so looked into some other therapies and there was a clinic near me that does some different massage techniques and they also have a flotation pod, where you just float with Epsom salt for a hour and it's meant to "reset" everything. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried this before? I don't want to do it, if it's not going to work at all, due to the cost, and all of the reviews i can see on facebook are positive, so not sure if they are just removing any negative ones.
Also, if you have tried it, how is it inside the pod, as i am a bit claustrophobic. It says you can leave the lid open, but not sure if that will take away from the whole experience.
Thanks in advance :)
