Good morning everyone! Have recently being diagnosed with Psoriatic arthritis…after 18 months of 'fighting' for a diagnosis and being told by Drs and rheumatology that it was 'just' aggressive osteoarthritis. After seeking a second opinion, I have been diagnosed with Psoriatic arthritis and been on Methotrexate for 12 weeks ...it is not working so Sulfasalazine is now being prescribed. Side effects of nausea…however I have found wearing travel sickness bands for a couple of days a week helps the symptoms. Just feel slightly stressed that it's taken so long to get help...but onwards and upwards! More frustrating because I am a healthy weight, non drinker and non smoker, have always exercised...its been quite the learning curve for the last 18 months! Am on a waiting list to have finger joints replaced once condition under control as 7 finger joints have been damaged so far whilst waiting for a diagnosis... Thanks for reading and looking forward to getting to know people and reading lots of hints and tips!
