@Kenmckay Turmeric is a pretty common spice so I can’t see any harm in trying, but I suspect it’s effects are pretty mild, I tried it and it made no difference over 3 months, but everyone is different. It’s certainly no substitute for a whacking sledgehammer like MTX.
I have escaped the prison of RA once before, and was drug & symptom free for 2 years, but relapsed after a flare up following eating something that didn’t agree with me. Now I am planning my escape again!
Which brings me to my next question, what medication are you on, when were you diagnosed , have you tried diet changes and do you get regular blood tests especially FBC (eosinophil count)? If you don’t mind me asking. If there is a dietary issue the count needs to be below .2 for you to get sustained relief. I discovered this the hard way. Most rheumies don’t even pay attention to this but it’s a very useful gauge on what to avoid.
