Hello

Hi
I am Clare just joined the group and fairly recently diagnosed. All the pain I had was put down to menopause and given increasing levels of hrt . My knees are bone on bone and the pains dreadful. Dieting hard to relive the pressure as I am over weight . Any advise anyone can give me with pain management will be gratefully received. I just have ibuprofen and paracetamol over the counter. Recently got insoles for my shoes. Glad to be in the group for advice from members

@Persia So sorry to hear about your situation. GPs & Hospitals are supposed to refer patients to specialist pain management teams, has this been done for you?
Regarding weight management, I can offer encouragement in the knowledge that 90% of weight loss is in the diet, not exercise.
The hard part is that pain causes us to comfort eat and make it worse.
Please get your gp to refer you to Pain Management.
Perhaps those here who have had knee replacement surgery can comment further?
