@Anna Good question. Is there a standard diagnosis problem posting checklist template for newbies or those seeking help? Often newbies and those in great pain need sign posting as it’s hard enough to post, let alone post a clear structured request?

    Something like:

    Diagnosis

    When

    Current symptoms

    Symptom history (changes)

    medications

    supplements

    Daily Routine?

    Any changes to symptoms noted?

Diet Diary - Diet impacts an inflamed gut greatly, so quite important, and it’s unique to each individual

What has helped in the past, if anything?

    Hi @Arthuritis,

Thanks for pointing this out : )

I've changed my post to reflect what I really meant to say. I agree it's difficult to explain diagnoses in a post, especially when you're in pain and feeling overwhelmed. It just helps other members to respond if we have a few more details, and that's all I was asking - maybe a checklist would be added pressure.

  • Hi @Hurdles

Personally I have found Hydrotherapy pools to be very helpful.
I have had RA for >20years but my mother has recently been diagnosed with OA in her knees. We both have benefited tremendously from exercising in the hydrotherapy pool- the warm water relaxes the muscles, keeps weight off your joints and allows you to exercise with little pain

@Anna The checklist could be positioned as a guide, from the perspective of a recent newbie, I would have liked that option at my most stressed, in pain and feeling let down by the healthcare community. There’s always the option to ignore it, but most in my experience would appreciate the list. The complete silence after a post where potential responders don’t feel they know enough to respond is even more depressing with the sense of being adrift.

Hence the option that might elicit a greater response, worth trying, some will use it, others will ignore it, both are ok. We just have to see what works.
