Trapeziectomy
Hi folks, I'm currently 7 weeks post op on my left thumb and am recovering as expected . However, I have swelling and pain in my wrist on the opposite side, ie below my little finger and more problematic, I have an intermittent ache and throbbing along the length of my arm. Has anyone else any experience of this? Is it normal or could the anesthetist have done something wrong as he did have trouble injecting the nerve block and eventually put me to sleep?

Hi @sunta and welcome to the online community! Great to have you here :)
Unfortunately I don’t have any personal experience with trapeziectomy-related topics but hopefully others will come along to share their experiences. I’d recommend potentially calling your GP to discuss that the ache/throbbing persisting for 7 weeks, as much as I know next to nothing about the procedure, that sounds better to be safe than sorry. Good luck!
