Collagen or glucosamine for arthritis?
My arthritis started a couple months ago. I try to do some special exercises, but the pain in my left knee and hip is getting worse. Some people suggested me to take collagen or glucosamine. But I do not know which one is good? I hope you can give me some useful advice.
Thank you in advance.

Hi @Putyuka and welcome to the online community, it is great to have you here! Unfortunately I am not sure about collagen or glucosamine, but wanted to share some links on knee and hip pain to see if they maybe had any helpful advice.

@Putyuka I would try glucosamine + chondroitin, they are much more readily metabolised and if it’s going to help you, you will notice the effects within a couple of weeks. Unfortunately it’s more expensive. Collagen is cheaper and worth a try if the pricier stuff shows efficacy. I used Joint ACE, but there are many good quality versions of glucosamine + chondroitin available. I used it in my pre RA days at the gym, and I noticed it. It works by attracting more water to the joint capsule to separate the joints and allow minor damage to the surfaces to heal. That’s been my experience.
