Mid foot fusion
Hi I had mid-foot fusion, I must say this it was not as bad as I thought it would be, I had a leg block while in the operating theatre, thank God I did not feel a thing all went well it took 3 hours for me as I also had bunion done at the same time.
But very pleased didn’t have any pain afterward as I kept on top of the pain killers. For a few days.
I’m now almost 5 weeks into recovery all well, but I could not get crutches so I’m simmer frame, which is very useful altogether and nonweightbearing for eight weeks then onto Beckham boot when I can start weight-bearing you do tend to get a bit, fed up and bored as a day seem rather long I can’t wait to have my on so at least I can move around the flat.
It’s difficult trying to have showers, but I managed to get a seat to put in my bath to take a shower, which makes life easier. Good luck to anyone having midfoot fusion hopefully be all worth the end.

Thanks for this not for me but for anyone having this op in future @Polly62
If it's possible it might be good if a mod could 'tag' midfoot fusion?
Keep up the good work Polly hope you have your mobility back very soon
