I am ready diagnosed with OA in my left wrist (its being partialy fused in March/April, diagnosed 2 months ago) and I am quite sure that I have it in my right wrist to a lesser degree.

How can I slow it down because I dont want to get to this stage again with my right wrist. I am 41 years old. I also think I have it in my lower back, knees and ankles.
thanks
Mandy

Hi Mandy talk to your Rheumy about your thoughts and feelings the whole idea is to slow it down or stop its progress.

    Hi Mandy,

I have OA spine and neck mainly as well as carpel tunnel. As said above talk to the docs. OA can respond to exercises from a physio, which can strenthen the muscles supporting joints. Your rheumy should be able to help refer you to the best people to help. Also OTs can make special splints to rest joints at night etc. So do talk to the medics treating you. Sue xx
