Hello,
What am I going to do? I went to take my amytriptilline tablet and when I put it up to my mouth, my hand seized up and it fell on floor. I can't find it :x What if my children find it? I hate this weather, I'm so cold and my kitchen is freezing ( I keep tablets there) and my hand went all funny, numb, like when you've been out in the cold.
I'll need to lift all my appliances :?

I'm going to be no help other than to sympathise!
I take three different pills at night. I used to be very blase and hold them all iin the same hand but try to take them one at a time, until the evening I dropped one and didn't know where it went!
Like you I struggled to move all the various kitchen parephenalia as we put the dog in the kitchen when we go out, and she tends to lick first and think second!
I eventually worked out that I must have dropped MY tablet down the plughole in the sink ..... hope yours turns up. Until then can only suggest that you keep the kids supervised at all times in the kitchen (easier said than done I know!) until you can get someone to help you move stuff about.
PS - the other time I had a problem, I took all three tablets at once but dropped one of them. Couldnt find it ..... but didn't know which I had lost! OOOOOOPS! :oops:0 -
Thanks,
I'm going to look in kitchen again to try and find it!

Hello Wonkylegs,
I found it-yeah!
It was under the fridge. I had visions of me taking a comatosed child to the hospital and being labelled as an 'unfit' mother
Won't be doing that again-hopefully!

I have not had this happen to me yet !! but when my husband lost his contact lens he used the hoover with my tights streched over the nozzzle so he could see everything that he was picking up so he could find the lens easily, and it worked for him, it might for you.0

Tell the kids that the first one to find it and bring it to you gets a choccy bar.
It will appear like magic!

Hi,
I've just read my original post and it reads like I'm talking about losing my hand not my tablet-heh heh. Well, it made me laugh :?0 -

Reminds me of Harry Hill and those celebs who, when expressing shock, have to hold there noses on their faces with both hands!!!
Mind you Magenta - you couldn't do that could you?!
Take care

Ask your chemist to dispense in day to day boxes. We had to do that with my wifes gran as she could not handle blister packs and would forget where she was up to with which tabs she had taken. Not all chemists will do it, but ring round and you will find one that will.0

Hi Magenta,
Glad you found the pill - I think I would've vacuumed the kitchen thoroughly to make sure it wasn't anywhere visible for the kids to find. Some good tips above though.
