Hi I was wondering if many people with RA fall over. At the moment my legs are struggling, they are really heavy and weak, and my knees and feet are so painful. Over the past couple of days I have had a number of falls, I think it's because my legs feel so weak they are giving way. Is this normal in RA? Is there anything I can do to help my legs? Thanks

Does falling off the wii fit count? I also fall down the stairs fairly frequently but never know why, just end up at the bottom wondering what happened.

Hi, I can't help with advice for your legs, but as for falling, I am very good at it, trouble is getting up again, I can't feel my feet due to RA, not very funny at all love jaspercatxx

I don't fall regularly but when I do I remember it because I can't get up again. I think I'm inclined to trip on things because I don't pick my feet up properly and I can also fall if I've transferred my weight to a leg and the pain is too great that it can't support my weight.

It's best to fall after a couple of glasses of wine 'cos at least it doesn't hurt as much

nice 1 legs i agree.i tripped over the bed throw new yrs day.
cant reach the light switch to turn off when i get in bed,so walked round bed in the dark & wallop.bruised knee & elbow.
iv also come down the stairs, knee gives way & legs r also feeling heavy & tight.im waiting for 2nd stair rail to be fitted.
physio told me to do exercises to strenghthen the muscles around the knee & keep muscles in legs strong to prevent falls.
