Got a return phone call from the hospital last night.
I had left a message saying Sam would go along with whatever treatment the hospital thought was best.
The choices were sulfasalazine or embrel.
The hospital have decided to try sulfasalazine first.
I'm quite pleased i've not had to make the decision as I was concerned about him going on anti tnf.
My concern now is how long will this drug take to kick in. Sam has already been off school 2 days this week and his prelims are at the beginning of February.
I am also concerned that the Anti tnf may not be offered to him later as he will be 16 tomorrow and may no longer be treated as a child.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks
julie
