hi everyone
I have soft tissue rheumatism and have been anemiac in
the past.I have been for a blood test to see how iron levels and also to see if im on the change due to periods being all over the place. While i was there i asked the nurse to check my blood pressure she said it was very high 186/129 and i have to go back in two weeks to have it checked again.
Has anyone else have/had blood pressure ?Can anyone advise me on anything please.

    Dear Shezza,

From reading your profile I see you've got osteoarthritis but I'm not quite sure what the term soft tissue rheumatism means. I wonder if your GP or specialist would be able to come up with a term which be easier to relate to our information?

I am sure that if you were to post a question about high blood pressure on the living with arthritis forum you would get plenty of replies. In other words you are not alone.

Culprits for high blood pressure may be medications like anti inflammatories, over-weight/fitness issues, family history, salt in the diet and the list goes on.

If you are concerned about this, it's really important to get in touch with your GP and see what they recommend.

    hope that helps

    Guy
