Buring hot

Hi hope you are all having a nice weekend.
I'm only 31 and for the past year I've been burning hot, not all the time it comes and goes. Some nights I wake up in a sweat. I've never mentioned this to my GP....don't know why. Every time it happens I worry maybe I'm going to have an early menopause. But i started making a note of it, as I want to ask the Rheumy on 26th, and I've noticed it's normally my hands, knuckles that glow red and are burning hot, or it's my face, thighs, knees and feet...when my feet are burning they normally really swell up. Last night I had cool damp towels over my legs, feet and face. Does anyone with RA suffer with burning hot parts of the body?
I was told Dec 17th that Rheumy is sure it's RA, then did tests, which I'll know more on 26th. Saw my GP in the week, and he mentioned that the Rheumy had said basically that he thinks it's RA, but Lupus needs to be considered.
Thanks Sunshine x

Hello Sunshine
I too am having episodes of burning up. Recently, when it was baltic in the house (our heating broke), I had to sleep with no covers on me. My joints just now are playing up and at night my knees and ankles are burning and hot to the touch. My knees go bright red. I used to think it was linked to my time of the month but I'm not so sure anymore. I have sero-ve arthur (at the moment anyway).
Dunno if this helps? Hope you feel better soon,

Hi Sunshine, I can relate to this, mine was blamed on early menopause, but my toes and various joints are bright red, and I sweat like mad at night, my hubbie says it is like sleeping with a radiator, I keep a cold flannel by my bed and put it on my forehead when I get too hot, not sure if this helps or not, hope you feel better soon love Jaspercatxx0

Thanks all for your replies. I really thought it was just me. I've got my shorts on at the moment as my thighs and knees are really burning.

PS i have RA.
Hi and thanks for your replies. Scottishlass, that's a great way to describe it. Does this happen to you all over, or just certain parts? I'm burning again as I type this, today it's just my thighs and face, but my feet are cold. x0 -
