It looks so pretty, just lying in the ground, but it is my enemy!
I dread the snow and ice just as much as my children love it and pray for it. I have had a rubbish day, probably brought on by the cold, then it snowed. I am now afraid to go out until it has gone in case I slip and fall. Ouch just the thought of that hurts!! Snow equates to more of my independence going. I need to rely on people to take and collect my children from school and activities. I already feel like a waste of time mum on a normal arthur day, so now what?!
god i`m a moaner aren`t I! I`m still in pain and spasms despite taking my MST and amitryptiline etc..
I used to love the snow as much as my children . How can i reignite that love?

hi nearlybionic.you are not alone with your fear of snow.i too dread it i actualy start to panic if i have to go out in it.i see people trotting along and im walking so slowly and cautiously.i think when you have got arthritis you do tend to worry more about falling and injuring yourself.i can trip over something, when i look theres nothing there.lol.if thers a bit of mud i find it and slip on it.i used to remember loving the snow when i was younger like you say your children do.gone are those days.0

You are definitely not alone!!! I am not fond of the snow either :x .... just looked out of my window and it's coming down thick and fast!
I will need to double my journey time to work tomorrow as I will be taking very small and careful steps! Like most others on here I am petrified of falling....... not because I'll look daft (although that is a consideration! ) but because I don't think my body can handle any more pain!
Good luck to everyone out there who has to brave snowy/icy conditions!

Hooray! the snow is disappearing!!! My children are gutted but i don`t care. However there is ice on the pavements etc.. so I will be staying in mostly today. With the heating on I could pretend that I`m on a tropical island. Wow I must have such a good imagination!!! A tropical island in Lancashire eh??!0
