I am njust about to have a hip replacement but it has been discovered that I have a raised CRP. This is either due to infection (where) or inflammation. Will this stop surgery from going ahead? :?:

If it is caused by an infection then , yes , probably. I had my pre op assessment recently which showed an infection. I have had antibiotics and waiting to hear if it has gone. The nurse said they would not proceed if i had an infection as it increases risk of post op infections. I hope its sorted for you soon.0
