enbrel funding

Hi All,

3 months ago me and my partner moved from Birmingham as I've been relocated into London. She has R.A. and she started on Enbrel treatment 2 months before. We were told at the Birmingham City Hospital that she would get the same treatment here in London.

After waiting for a rheumatology apoitment for 2 months the doctor said he didn't know how the transfer cases worked and asked my partner to call a nurse specialized in this matters.

The nurse told that she would have to appeal for funding with the Islington Council (I believe). This has been taking quite long time and my girfriend will run out of Enbrel in 2 weeks. The nurse in London told her to ask more Enbrel supply from Birmingham which they refuse.

Is this the normal procedure? In Birmingham there was no funds appealing. The Hospital just supplied the drug. I'm pretty scared she won't get it here.
