Hi.
Further to my posting yesterday. I was advised by my consultant to buy MBT's. The last plaster I was put into had a 'rocker' sole and I hated it. Any advice? Are they really difficult to get used to?
Thanks

Hi Debbie
I have had MBT's since oct last year and i love them. They dont take much getting used to just dont over do it until you do because they work your legs muscles harder than usual. I like them because i struggle to exercise and these toned my legs up by walking very little. let me know if you want to know anything else

I wear mine all the time. I LOVE them! They did not take long to get used to at all. I do suggest that you go to a place where the fitters know what they are doing though. It is easy to buy the wrong size - apparently - and they will not be comfortable.
I got the VAT off as I have arthritis.
I did wear them right at the beginning for too long and came over all peculair and fainted. We had gone out to Portsmouth, sightseeing, doing a fair amount of walking and I should never have worn them all the time. It was my own fault. I had been warned by the trained shop assistant. That was the only blip I have had with them.
Luv

Hi Mash.
MBT's are trainers with a rocker sole. Only get them if your consultant or specialist have advised you to get them as they are a specialised shoe. Bit hard to explain what they are but if you type MBT in to the internet then you will see what they are. You have to go to the shop and be fitted and advised properly. Pretty pricey at roughly £150 a pair. In my case I have different size feet so I would have to buy two pairs, which would work out expensive, but if they work they then they work out cheap, if you know what I mean!!
