Hi all
I'm new to the forum so thought I'd tell you a little about myself before asking my question. i'm 39, have 2 primary aged children and work as a medical secretary in a GP surgery. I was diagnosed with seronegative inflammatory arthritis about 6 months ago and am currently taking sulfasalazine without much improvement.
I think I've got off pretty lightly compared to most of you, my main problems are my hands and feet but I seen to be managing my pain at the moment as I'm too stubborn to give in to it.
Which brings me to my question, I had my first podiatry appt yesterday and she gave me some shoe insoles to try and correct my feet and help me walk properly, she recommended a couple of brands of shoes but as is always the way I forgot the names the minute I walked out the door, all I remember is wide fitting and lace up - can any of you help?
Thanks for listening!

Hi rosiecat
Welcome!
If you click on page 2 of the Living with arthritis forum and scroll down you will see 4 different threads all about shoes. It is a very common question on here. It makes such a lot of difference if one has comfortable shoes!!
Good luck!

Hi Rosiecat and welcome to the forum,
Glad to hear you're coping with your pain at the moment, managing it before it manages you that's the key to living with arthritis
As well as looking at the posts that Elna's suggested could you not ring your clinic and ask what were the makes of the shoes :? ?

Hi, Its so hard to remember what you've been told at appointments, I'm just the same  I think ringing the clinic is a good idea, as well as looking at the site.
Oh, and welcome to the site!!! Love Sue0 -
Thanks for the advice, I can see I have a lot reading to do! I try to avoid ringing clinics about myself as I spend my working day sorting out problems for patients and know what a nightmare it can be to get through!0
