Ice grippers

Someone on the 'walking safely on snow and ice' mentioned 'mini crampons' which you can fit onto shoes or boots.
I have a pair of what I think he was talking about - they are called Ice Grippers, and are made by a company called Gardeners Pal in Leicestershire.
I can't remember where I got them from but I imagine it was a mail order catalogue ???
If you google ice grippers you will find more information.
May be a bit late for this cold spell but it would be good to be prepared for the next one!
Hope you're all keeping warm and safe - where I am (West London) it's a lovely sunny day but I know some areas are still suffering ...
