Hi all,
Amongst my many ailments I find spondylitis a hard one to live with.
When it is bad, like now, it cuts off the circulation to my hands but worse it cuts off the circulation to my head and especially if I look up I virtually black out losing balance.
Not only is it disconcerting it's downright dangerous, as today I fell onto the stove.
Does any one have any good remedies for helping????
Many thanks

Maybe you already have one but I found wearing a collar restricted the movements which brought on my problems.
I was told I had cervical spondylosis so dont know if the causes are the same.0 -
Hi
i have spondylolithesis, the next stage up so to speak!! remedies, none! but i think strengtening the muscles with some gentle exercises will support the bones (and staying put when its icy outside!) Having said that did i go to the gym to do gentle exercises today, no, i stayed in and read and relaxed as felt more in need of that.
Have you a brace etc? some aides like that can help, also supportive cushions, correct bending/lifting etc. Pehaps a visit to a physio or occupational therapist may help you.
p.s. if when you get up,move abut etc, should you have a frame or something incase you start to fall?0 -
Hi,
Sorry for late reply, not been to good, you know how it is.
I do have a collar and tried it (been a while), it did help, although I remember why I don't wear it more often.
I have a rhuemy appointment in March, I'm hoping they can help in some way.
I have artur in so many places it seems that what ever I do for one just aggravates another, e.g. using walking aids aggravates my wrists , shoulders and neck. Hey ho, I guess some days you just get so low you want some one to wave a wand and make it all just go away.
Many thanks for your support and all the best to you.0
