Hi
I have just had a letter back from my consultant telling me the results of the first consultation. There was a low vitamin d/calcium and PTH. The letter says all other tests were normal. Can someone tell me what these mean. I was being tested for early RA. Also a raised RF but I have already had that test positive once. Many thanks

Dear Rella
As we are not medically trained I cannot explain your tests to you, even if we had the full results. The best person to discuss these with would be your GP, who would be totally qualified to explain them to whatever extent you wish.
If you would like more information on RA please see our booklet on the website: http://www.arthritiscare.org.uk/PublicationsandResources/Listedbytype/Booklets
Alternatively you might like to talk to NHS Direct on 0845 4647.
Best wishes
