Hi all Im new but need help, I do have athritis in vairios joints, not has bad as some of you it seems! but for the last 14 months i have had a lot of pain in the calf and thigh muscles in both legs the pain will not be stopped with t.e.n.s machine, co codamol , sulfadine or athritac,
Does anyone know if this may be a pain eminating from the athritis in my knees, i have seen 3 consultents and none of them have any idea what the pain is.

I do get this a lot of the time, i find when i try and do to much. Put to much on your myself/ push to much. I have a very active job which has now been cut to light duty only, which has helped a lot, but i still try and still push my self.
Mine gets that bad that i can see the ground meeting me very fast. Legs just give way in the end. This also extends to my arms as well, and hands. I do not have a answer to why.
I do take amytrifaline (well some thing like that) and it does help me rest, and my wife heats me a couple of (i call them wheat bags) in the Micro wave to put on my legs and arms and chest, it may help.

Hello
I also sometimes get pain down the whole length of my leg and it can be awful. I think it is due to an arthritic knee in my case. I have just been told that my knee is in a bad way (or knackered, as I described it to the consultant :!: ) There are tendons running down your legs and I think they can become inflamed when you aren't walking properly. Have you tried Diclofenac? It worked for me but it can upset your tummy so you have to take Omeprazole as well first thing in the morning. It doesn't suit some people and I wouldn't take it for too long, but it is worth a try.
All the best

Hi
It sounds as if you're in a lot of pain. I am no medic, but I do have a bad back and I get leg pain from that. In fact, in the first place, I went to the Drs with leg pain thinking I'd pulled a muscle and it turned out to be comming from my spine, quite a shock  . Hope you get yours sorted soon Love Sue0
