Hi, that's great that everything went well for you, some of these parking attendants are a bit too over the top, I really don't mind showing my badge. I am only 50 and can understand why you might not want to use your badge, I used to be the same but now I have given up thinking that way love Jaspercatxx0

Jobsworths get on my nerves. I go to my supermarket once a week with my friend, we park in disabled bays and display my blue badge and get a trolley each - she dashes round, does her shopping and then loads it into the car, takes the empty bottles to the recycle centre and then comes to find me to take over pushing my trolley and help me through the checkouts ( I know, she's a star
). The amount of times a jobsworth has verbally attacked her before she can get a word out to explain and refuses to come into the shop with her to see the badge owner :x :x A little bit of power does go to some people's head unfortunately

hi Ikesother
good for you! You are as entitled as the next person(with a valid badge) to park in the disabled bays. I bet the parking attendant was gutted that he/she didn`t get the chance to exert their power!!
You are right to feel smug!! ha! ha!

Good for you, I'm only 33 and I can't wait to get my badge & have someone make a snide comment. I'm thinking of a list of witty comebacks and any suggestions are welcome.0

I bet you feel great about showing them b*****ds. I'm sorry but parking attentants really get my goat!!! Not just them but members of the public, I have only had my badge a few months and i constantly get "excuse me young lady thats a disabled bay" or "you cant park there" etc etc. I'm 23 and maybe I dont look ill but i am and i could quite easily whack them round the legs with my stick! argh! (only joking about hitting them), I do enjoy showing attendants the badge and ignoring the idiots.
Thanks for the opportunity to rant

Rosie, my friend with MS gets that, she's 24, she says it's always older people who say it and she tells them "Yes, you fool, I might be disabled but I can read"0 -

I had the other experience, I parked in a bay without realising it was (I was in dads car) and the attendant quietly pointed out that I had, I didn't even have the badge with me but was just grateful for a space.
I suppose he thinks I'm knackered (or was he looking at my dad?), look it and he should go easy on me, he just walked away!
8) Its a grin, honest!0
