Hi
For no apparant reason I have days when I get up and my feet are red, burning and very painful. They stay like this all day, change colour sometimes to bluey purple and the swell a bit too. Can anyone give me an idea whats going on.
Don't think it's conected but my arm goes numb too and my back hurts from hip to hip.

I would pay a visit to the GP if i where you, its all well and good to speculate but it sounds like this needs sorting out.

Hi
I agree. It really needs looking at by your GP. Sue0 -
Hi
I am new to the forum and only been diagnosed with Arthritis for a week so not experienced enough to give advice. All I can say is that I got purple marks / lumps on my fingers and toes which the Dr told me was Raynauds. I have arthritis in my lumbar spine and hips where I get terrible burning pain and I also get numbness in my arms at night now and again.
It may be something like Raynauds which can be secondary to arthritis.
Sorry cant offer anymore advice0 -
Hi
Thanks for your replies. Saw pain clinic Dr. this morning and when he looked at them decided it's vascular. He has said this before and asked my GP to refer me to a vascular surgeon who said they were ok  Anyway he's going to ask my GP to refer me again so fingers crossed I might get sorted out. It's been going on for 2yrs, far to long.

I agree with the others about a trip to see your GP.
....I would add as well that when I first started with RA and it was extremely active and uncontrolled my feet used to swell and the bottom of my legs were purple, I was in pain constantly all over my body so can't specifically pinpoint the pain just to my legs. The purple colouring has gone now - just wanted you to know it wasn't permanent

Hey Vonski
......... as an after thought tell him to refer you to the rumo's re both your bones and your circulation. The other stuff you got the other way. Must go that's the 2nd text and I'm skating thinner and thinner, for a change, and I haven't even unloaded the car yet! You take care and push them, really push them with a bull bar and a jcb if necessary! Take care. Cris x :P  Push them!0 -
Hi
Went to GP this afternoon, he took one look at my feet and said he agreed that it was vascular. Shame he didn't say this when I saw him almost 2yrs ago with feet measuring 14 1/2 ins circumference. He is now going to send me to a vasuclar surgeon at a different hospital, he says they are better than my local one. I was suppose to see a vascular last year but another major health problem stopped that. At least things might start moving now
Sorry skezier no go on rheumy, he was going to send me but then saw my feet and we've put that on hold for now. I'll try again but for now I'd be happy if I could walk again
