injections help

hi have had an appointment with consultant this morning , had more xrays on my knees for oa has been decided nowto have an mri scan on both knees as nothing significant showing up , also a cause of 3 injections over 3weeks of a jelly into my knees , has anybody had this did it work , what i cant understand is one hospital has diagnosed grade 3 osteoartheritus of the 3 compartments of the knee but hes still not sure , thanks for your imput folks xxxxx :?: :?: :? :?

I also have OA in my knee and told it is severe in 2 out of the 3 compartments. I've been told that I will need a knee replacement but have opted to think it over for a while. I would be interested to know what the course of lnjections over 3 weeks is. I did have a steroid injection and fluid drained. That was good but only lasted 6weeks and then wore off. Also had MRI scan, but only arthroscopy op (key-hole surgery) confirmed how bad my knee is.

Hi, I don't have this option as have spinal OA & spine damaged where any pain killing injections would be made, needle in the bum for me! I have heard alot of people talk about those you mentioned and say they are a godsend . Good luck

hi have had an arthescopy on left knee last june and had the diagnosis of the grade 3 of the 3 compartments but then told to go home and get on with it , so eventually got my doc to refer me to a local hospital , to see a consultant , have had steroids in both knees 4 weeks ago no change , in my knees with them , so now going for the other injections think its hylagan ?the only thinkg that is bothering me is the fact of is it or isnt it , if you know what i mean , xxxx
